Centurion Foundation Marks 60th Martyrdom Day of Param Vir Chakra Awardee Veer Abdul Hamid with Historic Announcements

Lucknow – On the 60th martyrdom day of Param Vir Chakra awardee Veer Abdul Hamid, Centurion Foundation organized a grand ceremony dedicated to the Indian Armed Forces aspirants, families of martyrs, and gallantry awardees. The solemn occasion was graced by Lieutenant General Anannya Sen Gupta, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, who attended as the chief guest, alongside GOC Major General Salil Sen, FICCI Uttar Pradesh Chairman Neeraj Singh, and Minister of State for Minority Welfare and Waqf Board, Danish Azad Ansari.

Centurion Foundation Chairman Shishir Dixit announced several historic initiatives aimed at empowering Indian youth and honoring the sacrifices of martyrs’ families. These announcements, formally endorsed by Lt. Gen. Sen Gupta and Major General Sen, were widely appreciated by dignitaries and attendees.

Event Highlights

The presence of Veer Abdul Hamid’s family members, including Junaid Alam and Jamil Alam of The Legend Veer Shaheed Abdul Hamid Trust, added emotional depth to the occasion. Gallantry awardees and their families were honored, while members of the Indian Ex-Servicemen League attended in large numbers. Officers, JCOs, and soldiers from the 4th Grenadiers Regimental Centre also marked their participation, reflecting the Army’s proud traditions.
